I have rated the item a 9 due to age only (it's about 3 years old). Writing about the Linn Sondek LP12 turntable in any of its guises runs the risk.
Whereas before, Stereophile praised the original EKOS tonearm, now they find fault with it only after the 'New and Improved' EKOS SE is made to replace it. arm is one owner, pristine condition item (the only marks are on the headshell from the single cartridge ever installed on the arm, a Linn Akiva - even then, the marks can only be seen upon very close examination under the light).
